Frequently asked questions.

Design & Build Services

What types of projects do you handle?
We offer complete design–build–maintain services, from planting renovations and patios to outdoor kitchens, fire features, drainage, and full-property transformations.

What materials do you work with?
We use state-approved aggregates, pavers, natural stone, brick, modular wall systems, and concrete (broom-finished, stamped, exposed aggregate). We also incorporate boulders and natural elements where appropriate.

What is hardscaping?
Hardscaping includes all built features—patios, walkways, walls, steps, boulders, and driveways. These elements form the foundation of your landscape’s design and function.

Can you renovate or refresh my existing landscape instead of starting over?
Absolutely. We can reimagine your existing space with updated beds, plantings, drainage, or hardscaping—no need to start from scratch.

What do I need to start the design process?
For full design plans, a plot plan or property plat is required. For smaller enhancements, it's not necessary. Either way, we start with a consultation and your goals.

Do you manage the entire project or just certain parts?
We handle every aspect—from design to completion—and coordinate with outside contractors (pool builders, homebuilders, etc.) so you don’t have to.

Maintenance & Seasonal Services

How often will you maintain my property? Do you offer one-time mowing?
We provide weekly mowing and seasonal services. One-time mowing is not available.

What maintenance services do you offer beyond mowing?

  • Lawn and bed care: edging, weeding, mulching

  • Tree and shrub care: pruning, shaping

  • Seasonal cleanups and plantings

  • Holiday décor

  • Premium turf care via our Pittsburgh Turf & Fertilizing division

Do you offer seasonal color and holiday décor?
Yes. We offer seasonal plantings for spring, summer, and fall, plus custom holiday décor.

Do you warranty plants?
Yes. Warranties apply to qualifying installs with proper irrigation and adherence to maintenance plans. Extended warranties are offered when we manage maintenance for the first two years.

Do you offer storm response and post-event cleanups?
Yes. We help clean up storm debris and damage. Contact us as soon as possible after an event for availability.

Do you offer snow and ice services?
Yes. We operate as a commercial snow removal company in winter. Residential clients are serviced after commercial obligations and must be pre-scheduled—no one-time or same-day call-ins.

Service Areas

What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Verona, PA, and serve the Greater Pittsburgh region. While we’re local, our location doesn’t limit where we work. Reach out to see if we can accommodate your project.

What is Ricupero’s Supply Yard, and who can purchase materials?
Located in Verona, our Supply Yard stocks mulch, soil, stone, sand, and hardscape products. Both homeowners and contractors can purchase in person, by phone, or online.

Policies & Planning

How do I get an estimate?
Request a consultation online or fill out our contact form. We’ll review your project and connect you with the right team member.

When is the best time to plan and book a meeting?
The best time is October through March—before the busy season starts. You can reach out any time to begin the process.

How long will my project take?
Timelines depend on scope, time of year, and our schedule. After your consultation and design, we’ll provide a projected timeline.

Do I need to be home for services? What about pets and gates?
You don’t need to be home for routine visits as long as we have safe access. Pets must be secured. Our crews close gates and secure access points. We never need to enter your home.

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We’re fully insured and maintain all required licenses, training, and certifications.

What is your rain or bad weather policy?
We prioritize safety and will reschedule if conditions are unsafe. You’ll be notified of any changes.

Do you offer financing? What forms of payment do you accept?
We do not offer financing. We accept credit cards, checks, and ACH. No cash. Invoices are sent electronically—no on-site payments accepted.
